Business Banking:  Phil commenced his tourism & hospitality career after an impressive 17 years in the banking industry, 7 years as the Business Banking Manager which included many motel and hotel owners and leasees as clients in the Canterbury and Westland areas.

Tourism & Hospitality Management:  Phil has also had 11 years of invaluable and direct experience in the Tourism and Hospitality Management sector including 3 years as a motel owner/operator in Akaroa, Hotel General Manager of a large Hotel business on the West Coast, Senior Manager with the Canterbury Hospitality Group in Christchurch and more recently the General Manager of the West Coast Bar & Grill in Christchurch.

Local South Islander: Phil was born in Westport and a regular visitor with his father still living there.

Active Business Broker: A keen sportsman including golf and tramping and as a cricket umpire, is currently on the first class cricket panel (hence the grey hair!)
