There’s been a Country Pub in Ormondville since 1891, though newer buildings have long since replaced the 
original double story pub. The land is on three titles totalling 3048 square metres with a large double garage, laundry shed and woodshed. There is a small paddock out back where farm animals graze with plenty of space for a veggie garden and other crops. It’s a great place for a pony, and plenty of room for children’s adventures.
This country pub is situated opposite the historic Railway station at Ormondville 
in Southern Hawkes Bay. Just a few kilometres off State Highway 2, it serves the community living in the township and those in the surrounding area. Many amenities are close by with Dannevirke and Waipukarurau are less than half an hour away, and Palmerston North and Hastings about an hour away (less than an Auckland commute!).
The current owners have been part of this community for a few years now and have maintained a great service to the regulars and travellers through this country community. The traditional Sunday Roast they serve and the other hearty country meals are popular with all the patrons of the pub.
